Reflections: Form Design Centre - Malmo

‘Noisy Neighbours’ is an exhibition and conversation series at the Form Design Centre in Malmo. The series ‘challenges the prevailing planning ideals’ focus on short term value maximisation and instead focuses on the city’s more useless values’.

It questions why we do not secure the places of culture and production when the city is undergoing densification (and gentrification). ‘What happens when we prioritise the long-term maintenance of exisiting urban fabric before rapid new construction?’

The exhibition is the result of the work of artists and CSAM (Centre for Land Use Studies) an independent think tank with the aim ‘to challenge current ways of urban development by using art as an investigative tool’.
