Dislocations’ at Palais du Tokyo is an exhibition of art works by 15 artists from different generations and backgrounds whose work is ‘informed by the experience of exile, of being torn br between here and there, between past and present’. 

‘Human Error’ is a recent series of self-portraits by May Murad set on the floor of her child home in Gaza (recently destroyed in a bombing raid) mixed with European furniture.   

Khal Mohammadi from Afganhistan has produced an Afghan carpet made out of 93,000 matches and ‘bears witness to the fact that matches are as fragile as they are flammable’. For the artist this is a metaphor for Afgan society between ‘conflict and  hope of reconstruction. It  is a stunning artwork 

Cathryn Boch responds to the feelings of displacement, migration and hospitality emergence ‘forcefully with the Mediterranean as both a border and a vortex’. Her series ‘ Invisible Struggles’ responses to the feelings of migrant women and tuns them into seen words like ‘alert, scars or powerful cries of hope’. 

Chloe Bensahel’s multimedia textile works that are ‘living organisms in which she weaves fragments of complex histories’. As a viewer we are invited to run our hands over the tapestries to produce a changing pattern  and musical sounds. Chloe had a residency at the Tapestry Workshop in Melbourne between 2016 - 2018.

Sahib (edges in Arabic) is a collective of artists, architects, researchers and developers formed between Gaza and Paris in 2021. The collectives’ aim is to give life to a virtual museum by and for the community of artists from Palestine countries around the world. This exhibition ‘plunges into the fantastic story of a tigress who sets out to meet the world of humans through asn immersive installation that takes us from Gaza City to the sky (cloud) and sahib museum’.

Lowe Foundation Craft Prize is on display and is  collection of the finalists drown form around the. World. It is a stunning  example of skill and creativity in crafting an art object.
